Teacher, sportsman and conservationist all describe the late Tom Marshall. He was instrumental in saving Nell’s Island (Charles E. Wheeler WMA) from development and was a founding member of CWA. His love of the outdoors was clearly seen in his desire to preserve and promote the wetlands of Connecticut.
During Tom’s memorial service many years ago, CWA members whispered about an appropriate way to remember Tom’s legacy. Before they walked out of the old New England church, the Thomas C. Marshall Scholarship was born.
For over 20 years, CWA has awarded $1,000.00 to a college student pursuing a career in environmental conservation sciences. Please download the application form for additional details and consider submitting an application.
